Dear Miss MacAllister,

I have terrible news. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our President has put an indefinite halt to all charitable contributions. I had hoped we could delay until quarter day and one last payment to the Werewolf Centre, but the memo came down today.

I give you my pledge that as soon as this trouble is resolved, the Werewolf Centre will once more be on our list of charitable giving.

My somewhat eccentric employer, Loopy Euston has informed me that she is going on a “worldly retreat” and that all charitable contributions for 2009 are to be discontinued until her return and subsequent re-review some time mid-year. Be assured that her final draft for 2008 will be deposited as usual on the first Monday preceding the quarter day, in this case December 22.

I regret the inconvenience.

The company finds itself in a state of irretrievable insolvency and will, upon the satisfaction of our creditors, be dissolved.
